Pricing Part 1 – Price Ranges, Models & Structures

Alright now that we’ve covered preparing for and setting up our business, solidifying our services and have covered the basics with proposals, invoices, contracts, etc, we can finally dig into perhaps the most popular subject in web design…..PRICING!!!
For those who haven’t seen this, I wrote a full blog series on pricing for the Elegant Themes Blog that you’re welcome to refer back to. I get real with some of my previous price ranges, pricing models, etc. Some of which we’ll cover here in addition to a lot of new information. I was also in this DiviChat episode where you can hear about different pricing methods that several web designers use which is extremely interesting and worth a watch/listen.

The subject of pricing was too extensive to put into one post/lesson, so I’ve broken this down into 2 parts. In Part 1 we’ll cover price range, models and structures to see what will best suit you depending on your situation. And in Part 2, we’ll actually solidify YOUR pricing based on our services, goals, etc.

For now, let’s cover pricing models, ranges and structures one step at a time. Keep in mind these are mostly referring to full website builds or ongoing website work. Though any of these pricing types can be applied to secondary or sub-services.
